Today we will talk about Apple’s latest announcement. Apple has recently released the third developer beta versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. These beta versions focus on testing Apple Intelligence features.
These third beta updates come after the second beta version released by Apple two weeks ago. It is worth noting that these updates can only be downloaded on devices that support Apple Intelligence, such as iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max, Apple Silicon iPads, and Macs. If your device is compatible, you can download these updates from the Settings app.
What is Apple Intelligence? It is a set of features designed to improve your text. Whether you need to check spelling, correct grammar, or rewrite text in a new tone, all this is now possible with Apple Intelligence. Not only this, now the design of Siri has also been changed, which includes a subtle glow and Type to Siri feature so that you can talk to Siri without speaking.
A new feature has also been added to Safari, which allows you to summarize articles. Along with this, a new Focus Mode – Reduce Interruptions – will help you avoid unwanted disturbances.
Smart Reply feature is now available in Messages and Mail apps, which will help you save time. Along with this, the Mail app brings time-sensitive messages to the top of your inbox, so that you keep getting information about important mails.
A new Memory Movie feature has been added to the Photos app, which allows you to create slideshows based on text descriptions. Apart from this, you can now also record, transcribe, and summarize phone calls. This transcription and abbreviation feature is also available for any audio recording.
However, some new features like Image Playground and Genmoji have not been implemented yet. Apple has split these features into a separate beta set because they will not be available in the initial launch versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. These features will be made publicly available later this year.
