According to the new report, Samsung has decided to use only Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset in its upcoming Galaxy S25 series. This is the same trend that we saw earlier in the Galaxy S23 when the company abandoned the dual-chip strategy of Exynos and Snapdragon.
Samsung has long used both Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets in its Galaxy devices, but in 2023, the company used Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in the entire Galaxy S23 series. Now, after adopting the dual chip strategy again in the Galaxy S24, the company has completely relied on Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in the Galaxy S25.
According to reports, the reason behind this decision is to increase AI performance. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will see improvements in AI and GPU tasks by up to 30%, which is expected to give a huge boost to graphics and AI processing. Apart from this, this new processor will come with better power efficiency and thermal management.
Now let’s talk about Exynos. Samsung has decided to skip Exynos in its Galaxy S25 series, but that doesn’t mean Exynos has disappeared. According to reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 to be launched next year may use the Exynos 2500 chipset. ”
The Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch in January, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will make its official debut in October. As far as the price is concerned, the price of the Galaxy S25 may increase by about 30%. According to reports, its price may be between A$349-A$383.
